LGBTQ Greeks Out & Serving the Community for Thanksgiving

It’s the holiday season! Many of us spend the holidays eating and celebrating in the homes of friends and family but this is also a very dire time for homeless men, women and children. Many members of our communities take time out to make sure that folks in need get to have a memorable holiday as well. We thought we would share a few photos from organizations that make it their mission to get out into the community and do the work necessary to make sure more people can enjoy the holiday season.

LGBTQ Greek Organizations do so much great work all year around participating in service activities, hosting educational forums around social and health issues in the LGBTQ community and providing resources. For members service it’s not a requirement, it’s a way of life!

On Thanksgiving, Dallas area members of Beta Phi Omega Sorority Inc and Alpha Lambda Zeta Fraternity Inc. joined in service with the McQueen Foundation for Thanksgiving Dinner at Tent City.

Florida and Alabama members had a great time serving dinners, giving out free haircuts and talking with community members.

We are so happy to see our black queer folks out working in the community. We will be posting many more as the holidays roll on!!
